A number of transport strikes are due to take place this December. If you or your child has an appointment at one of our hospitals or community centres, please plan ahead and do all you can to attend. If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact your clinical team.

Nurses' strike action will take place on 15 and 20 December. Our emergency and time critical services will be open. We'll let you know if your appointment is affected.

August Evelina 150 Stars

Meet this month's winners
August winners

We know that we would not be where we are today without our amazing staff. That's why, in our 150th birthday year, we are celebrating teams and individuals with a special award. Every month, we select worthy winners to be our Evelina 150 Stars

Thank you to everyone who nominated our staff in September. We picked two winners.

Find out why our panel selected them below, and well done to everyone who was nominated.

Sarah Crichton, clinical nurse specialist in paediatric neurology

For her attention to detail, patience and kindness.

For her persistence in the face of adversity, helping patients with neurodisabilities and their families achieve a better quality of life.

Sandra Rose, healthcare assistant, cardiology outpatients

For caring compassionately and working tirelessly in the department for many years.

For being the one constant member of staff that many regular patients and families see and feel comforted by throughout their journeys.
