Continuing care for patients with complex needs

What is continuing care?

Continuing care support is a package of support for children and young people who have complex, long-term medical needs.

The service is offered to children where they meet the continuing care criteria, following an assessment of their needs.

Evelina London Children's Healthcare provides a continuing care service in both Lambeth and Southwark.

How do I access continuing care support?

Anyone can access our service, providing they meet the eligibility criteria. Please contact us for further information.

Personal health budgets (PHB)

A personal health budget is provided by the NHS to parents and carers who look after children with complex needs.

It allows NHS money to be used flexibly, giving families more control over funding, to better meet their child's health and well-being needs.

To find out more, download our personal health budget pack (Word 405Kb) – for Lambeth families only.
