We are a team of children's nurses providing health advice and support to children and the families of children with complex needs in Lambeth and Southwark.
Our team work with other professionals involved in your child's care (such as specialists, GPs, teachers and social care workers) to make sure that your child gets the support that they need.
We support children at home, in children’s centres, special needs schools and our local community centres, Sunshine House and Mary Sheridan Centre.
Complex needs school nurses
Our complex needs school nurses provide medical care and support to children at our local special needs schools:
- Cherry Garden School
- Tuke School
- The Livity School
- Michael Tippett School
We work with school staff, carers, social workers and children's families to make sure that children are supported to reach their potential in school.
We also train school staff to be able to provide health care to children in the classroom.
Outreach nurses for children with disabilities
Outreach nurses work with children who have complex medical needs as a result of disability, injury, accident or illness. Our team provide support to children, their families and their carers to help them manage their condition.
We visit children in their home but also work with the school nursing team, and other health professionals to make sure children have the right care in all areas of their life.
As well as providing specialist care, we provide assessment for continuing care packages. You can find out more on our continuing care page.
