If your child has been invited for a face-to-face appointment or procedure, it’s important you still come unless you hear otherwise.
To help keep everyone safe, only one parent or carer can attend. No other family or friends can visit.

Your child's appointment with the complex needs community nursing service

How do I get an appointment?

Your child will need to be referred to this service by a healthcare worker, special needs school, children with disabilities team worker or social care worker.

Cancelling or changing your appointment

Your child will be given an appointment with a named health professional. Please contact them directly to change or cancel the appointment. You will find their contact details on the appointment letter that you will be sent.

During your appointment

You and your child will be seen at a community centre (either Mary Sheridan Centre in Lambeth or Sunshine House in Southwark), in your own home, at school or at a children’s centre.

The health professional will talk to you about your child and their day-to-day needs.

Most first appointments last one hour.

After your appointment

We'll talk to you about the next steps for your child, including referring you for further help if needed. We can refer you to other services at Evelina London as well government, school and charity services.
