Please plan ahead when coming to our hospital or community sites
Posted on Monday 21st November 2022
Our services will remain open during the transport strikes in November and December.
There are strikes planned on bus services, Network Rail and at some Tube stations during November and December.
If you or your child has an appointment booked, please do all you can to attend. Plan your journey ahead and allow extra time.
All appointments and admissions at our hospitals and community sites will still be going ahead as planned unless you are notified otherwise. Please allow extra time for your journey and do all you can to attend. Unfortunately, car parking space is limited at our hospitals and community sites and fills up quickly, so we recommend that you use other types of transport if possible.
If you are unable to attend, please let your clinical team know as soon as possible.
Please be asssured that our Emergency Department remains open 24/7 and will not be affected by any strike action. It is important to attend if you or your child is in need of urgent medical care, or if you are advised to by 111 or another healthcare professional, as our team are always here to help you. We advise that you access the closest emergency department service to where you are located due to the travel disruptions.
