Synnovis strike action is stood down

The Unite union has advised us that their members working for Synnovis, our pathology provider,  will no longer take strike action on Wednesday 18, Thursday 19 and Friday 20 December.

Synnovis staff provide a wide range of tests, including blood tests, which are essential for many treatments and procedures. 

Our teams have been doing everything possible to make sure that if the strike did go ahead we could continue to provide urgent, emergency and essential inpatient care on these days.

As part of this planning, it's regrettable that some appointments or procedures have been rescheduled. We apologise to any patients affected and will contact you to make alternative arrangements as soon as possible.
