If your child has been invited for a face-to-face appointment or procedure, it’s important you still come unless you hear otherwise.
To help keep everyone safe, only one parent or carer can attend. No other family or friends can visit.

Childhood common illnesses leaflet

If you are a parent or carer of a child under five years old then this new guide, Common childhood illnesses, may be useful.

It has information on:

  • common childhood illnesses
  • what to do if your child is ill
  • what local NHS services are available, eg pharmacies, walk-in centres, A&Es
  • what kind of health issue the different services should be used for.

The Common childhood illnesses guide is available online, and printed booklets are also available from health visitors and children’s centres.
