Royal carol service guests spread festive cheer to Evelina London patients Last updated: Friday, 22 December 2023 Patients at Evelina London Children's Hospital have received Christmas cards posted by guests who attended this year's royal carol service. The Together at Christmas carol service was hosted by our Royal Patron, Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, at Westminster Abbey. Many of the guests wrote a card for a child facing a challenging time this Christmas and posted their cards in a special post box outside of the event. The Royal Foundation sent Evelina London over 100 cards to distribute to children in hospital over the Christmas period. Gubby Ayida, Chief Executive of Evelina London, said: "We want children and young people we're looking after to enjoy the festivities, despite being unwell and in our hospital at this time of year. Through festive-themed activities, giving presents to children in hospital, and of course a Christmas dinner, we do our best to create incredible moments that make things a little easier for children and their families." Thank you to all the carol service guests who sent a card to spread cheer to children and young people who may need it. You've made lots of our patients smile and reminded them that others are thinking about them.
