You can also fill out a comment card

We have patient comment cards and surveys in our departments and wards. These are quick and easy to fill in. You can either give the card to a member of staff or post it in one of the comment boxes around our hospital.

Other ways to get in touch

There are several other ways you can get in touch to let us know what you think of our services, ask a question, give a compliment or raise a concern.

Speak to a member of staff

If you have a concern about the care that you or your child have received, it is best to try to sort it out straight away by talking it through.

If you're staying in hospital or visiting a patient

Talk to the ward sister or charge nurse (dark blue uniform). He/she will listen to your concerns, explain the situation; agree what actions should be taken and update you on progress as required.

If the ward sister or charge nurse is not on duty, you can discuss your concerns with the nurse in charge.

If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can ask to speak to the matron (purple uniform) for the department.

If you/your child is an outpatient

Please ask the staff at any reception area to put you in touch with the member of staff you need to talk to.

Contact our patient, advice and liaison service

Our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) can listen to your comments and compliments about the services provided by us.

If you have any concerns or complaints, they will do their best to resolve these as quickly as possible.
