We are recognised as one of the world's best hospitals for children's care by US Newsweek, the American weekly news magazine, and were the first specialist children’s hospital to be rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, which regulates health and social care services in England.
We provide private paediatric care across specialist areas, including cardiology, ear, nose and throat medicine, general surgery, neurosciences, plastic surgery, renal medicine and kidney transplantation, respiratory medicine and urology. We’re proud to offer our patients choice of consultant where possible, flexibility of appointment times, and access to specialist care tailored to their individual needs.
Our international reputation means many patients travel from overseas to see our experts for highly specialised, personalised care that isn’t always available in their home country.
Family-focused facilities
Evelina London has themed floors and wards, rooms with views, a conservatory, and an open plan sunlit atrium, and was designed around the needs of children and their families. Our multidisciplinary teams support the sickest children in our paediatric intensive care unit with high-dependency bays.
We also see young patients in our dedicated outpatient and diagnostics facility, based in the Harley Street Health District, at 77-79 Wimpole Street. We offer a range of diagnostic tests on the same day as your child’s consultant appointments, facilitating a smooth patient journey.
Care for pregnant women and babies
The neonatal unit at Evelina London is one of the largest in England, enabling us to care for over 1,000 babies every year. We have our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), special care baby unit (SCBU), and high dependency unit (HDU), with our teams working together to provide round the clock care for premature and critically ill babies.
Further to this, our fetal cardiology service is the largest in the UK, overseeing 2,000 pregnancies a year for the diagnosis of congenital heart disease. As Evelina London is in the same location as St Thomas’ Hospital, we can provide end-to-end private care for babies as well as their mothers in Westminster Maternity Suite.
For babies and children living with congenital heart conditions, we offer expert care and pioneering surgeries, and support a seamless transition to adult services at Royal Brompton for our teenage patients transferring from Evelina London.
