Who can refer
Referrals must come from a health professional involved in the child's or young person's care.
Compass is an add-on service, so the lead team looking after the child must agree to the referral.
How to refer
Request an EPIC inpatient order: 'ELCH COMPASS'. Talk to the compass team after sending the request:

We can only accept referrals if the child has at least 3 of these:
- a long-term condition with 3 or more teams involved in their care
- a hospital stay of 2 weeks or longer
- needs equipment to help them breathe or eat
- a complex social or family situation
