Biography
Shazia Adalat is a consultant children's kidney specialist (nephrologist) at Evelina London.
Shazia trained in Birmingham Children's Hospital and London (Great Ormond Street Hospital and Evelina London Children's Hospital). She joined Evelina London as a consultant in 2017.
Shazia's sub-speciality interest is dialysis and she currently works in the haemodialysis team. She is also chair of the Evelina sustainability group, aiming to reduce the impact of health care on the environment. She leads the international Climate-Kidneys-Cognition working group.
She is network lead for the South East Renal Network (set up to improve the care for children with kidney conditions wherever they live). She organises the south east regional nephrology education programme for postgraduate doctors.
Shazia is an honorary senior lecturer at King's College London and supports undergraduate education as a supervisor of quality improvement projects and scholarly module projects.
