Dr Gowda is a part of the Guy's and St Thomas' ATMP board and is the lead for gene therapies for paediatrics.

Dr Gowda is a member of the Research and Development Biological Safety Committee at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

She has successfully conducted several clinical trials as the principal/chief investigator.

She serves as the joint-lead for clinical research in paediatric neurosciences.
