Elizabeth's research interests are linked to her clinic work and include spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), Duchenne muscular dystrophy and congenital myopathies.

She is a member of the national SMA Reach and North Star networks for spinal muscular atrophy and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
