Most referrals to our service are made internally by the team caring for your child, with the agreement of the consultant.
We also accept external referrals from hospitals and care centres across the country that are unable to offer the p-OPAT service. Any healthcare professional can refer.
How to refer
Internal staff should discuss the referral with the infectious diseases team using bleep 2009.
External referrers should discuss the referral with the infectious diseases team before referring. To do this, call 020 7188 7188 and choose the option for the bleep desk. Once connected, dial bleep number 2009 and wait for the response.
Once discussed, email your referral to gst-tr.elchpaedimmidreferrals@nhs.net.
