Finding the entrance:


Please note: building contractors are working on the roadway by Evelina London on Saturday 5 September, 8am-6pm, to remove some temporary office cabins. Access will be maintained at all times, although car and cycle parking will be restricted. Traffic marshals will be on hand to help direct you.

Travel information


The nearest tube stations are:

  • Westminster - District, Circle and Jubilee lines (10 minutes' walk)
  • Waterloo - Bakerloo, Jubilee and Northern lines (15 minutes' walk)
  • Lambeth North - Bakerloo line (15 minutes' walk).


Waterloo, Waterloo East, are the nearest railway stations, and are a 10-15 minutes' walk away.

Victoria and Charing Cross are 20–30 minutes' walk away.

Allow 15-20 minutes to get from the bus stop to where you need to be in the hospital. The following bus routes serve St Thomas' Hospital/Evelina London

  • 77, 507, N44 - stop at Lambeth Palace Road
  • 3, 344, C10, N3 - stop at Lambeth Road (15 minutes walk)
  • 76, 341, 381, RV1 - stop at York Road
  • N44, N155, N159, N381 - night buses stop at Westminster Bridge Road
  • N3 night bus - stops at Lambeth Road

There are bike racks:

  • in the parking area by Evelina London
  • at the front of the main reception of St Thomas' Hospital, alongside Gassiot House
  • in the St Thomas' car park (lower ground floor) next to the Florence Nightingale Museum.

There is a Barclays cycle hire docking station opposite St Thomas' A&E department by Archbishop's Park. To see where the docking station is use the interactive map |and search for Archbishop's Park. It will tell you the number of bicycles available and the number of free spaces where you can park your bike.

Car – limited parking available

Parking for patients and visitors is very limited, and there is often a queue. The car park is 'pay on foot' so please have the correct change. Pay and get your exit ticket before returning to your car.

Parking charges:

  • £2.60 per hour
  • Disabled patients are given free parking in the main car park upon production of their blue badge registered in their name along with an appointment card.
  • Parking charges apply 24 hours a day

Please use public transport whenever possible.
