A new film about our specialist children’s hospital helps children and young people, and their families, know what it’s like to visit or stay in our hospital.

Families have told us we don’t feel like a hospital, we feel like a family. Our children’s hospital is bright and friendly, and was designed by children and young people. We love our hospital but we know for some families your first visit can be daunting and you may not know what to expect. To help we have created a short film, using existing photos and film footage, to show what it’s like to come to our hospital. Watch our film.

Showing our friendly expert staff and our world-leading facilities, our wards and operating theatres, as well as our play activities and spaces, the film aims to highlight what makes our hospital and services so special.

Did you know we have over 30 different areas of medicine available 24 hours a day? Or that we have the largest neonatal unit in London caring for 1,000 premature or sick babies a year?

Watch our short film to see inside our hospital, and find out more about what we do and the specialist care we provide.

The film also gives family members and friends, who may be unable to come in and visit due to current COVID-19 visitor restrictions, an opportunity to see what it’s like to stay at our hospital.

Our hospital is just one part of how we provide care at Evelina London. We also care for families in the community across Lambeth and Southwark, and work with other hospitals in the area to provide specialist care closer to where families live.
