Biography
Dr Sujeev Mathur’s undergraduate and early postgraduate training was at the University of Health Sciences, Hyderabad, India.
He started his training in the UK in 2000 and passed the MRCPCH in 2002. His children's heart training was split between the Glenfield Hospital, Leicester and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
His sub-speciality training in heart imaging (both advanced echocardiography and MRI) was at Evelina London from 2009 to 2011. He was appointed as a locum consultant in paediatric cardiology at Evelina London in September 2011 and as a consultant in November 2013.
Sujeev special interests include children's heart MRI imaging, trans-oesophageal echocardiography and diagnosis and management of aortopathy in patients with connective tissue disorders.
He works closely with the team at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Sutton, to monitor heart function in children treated for cancer.
