TANDeM team

This page lists the members of staff who work in the tics and neurodevelopmental movements (TANDeM) team. You might meet some of these staff when you come for your appointment.

Dr Tammy Hedderly – consultant children's neurologist and team lead

Dr Osman Malik – paediatric child and adolescent psychiatrist

Dr Sally Robinson – paediatric clinical neuropsychologist
Dr Sally Robinson joined TANDeM in 2013. She provides neuropsychological assessment and psychological therapies to children with neurodevelopmental movement disorders. She also provides placements for psychology students and conducts clinical and academic research into children with neurodevelopmental movement disorders.

Dr Tamsin Owen – clinical psychologist
Dr Tamsin Owen joined TANDeM in 2017. She provides neuropsychological assessment, group and individual psychological therapies to children with neurodevelopmental movement disorders. She also provides placements for psychology students and conducts clinical and academic research into children with neurodevelopmental movement disorders.

Dr Amanda Maxwell – clinical psychologist
Dr Amanda Maxwell joined TANDeM in 2016. She provides neuropsychological assessment, group and individual psychological therapies to children with neurodevelopmental movement disorders. She also provides placements for psychology students and conducts clinical and academic research into children with neurodevelopmental movement disorders.

Raj Seraya Bhatoa – assistant psychologist
Raj joined TANDeM in 2018. She assists with clinical assessments and one-to-one/group treatments in the clinic. Raj also assists with clinical audit, service evaluation and several research studies in the clinic including "IIM" (looking at the genetic risk factors and clinical presentation for a clinical subtype of motor stereotypies called Intense Imagery Movements), "TicGen” (investigating the genetic susceptibility factors of paediatric and adolescent tic disorders) and "EMTICS" (looking at the prevalence of "Paediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome" symptoms in children with tic disorders).
