Ongoing IT issues

We are very sorry that the extreme weather conditions on 19 July caused problems with our computer systems and this continues to affect some of our services.

Our staff have been working extremely hard to resolve these issues so that we can deliver the best possible care to all our patients.

Very regrettably, we have postponed some appointments and procedures, something we never want to do. We apologise for this and we are now working hard to rearrange these as quickly as possible.

In addition, our community services have been affected by national IT problems involving the system used to manage appointments and patient care.

We are sorry for any delays or disruption this causes to your child’s care.

To help us provide the best possible care, during appointments we may ask you for information about your child’s health that you may have already provided to us in the past.

Getting help or support

Please contact your clinical team if you need more information about your care.

If you are unable to get in touch with the service and need help, please contact PALS.

If you have questions about your medicines after you leave hospital, you can contact our medicines helpline.

If you have an appointment, please continue to attend unless you hear from us. You should bring any letters or paperwork we have sent to you for your appointment. This helps us reduce the risk of delays.
