Strike action is taking place in June. We'll contact you directly if you or your child's appointment is affected.

There are rail strikes planned for May and June, which may affect your journey to our hospital and community centres. If you or your child has an appointment booked, please do all you can to attend. Plan your journey ahead and allow extra time.

Your appointment

What to expect your appointment

Home visits will vary in length depending on your child’s clinical condition but can take between 30-60 minutes. The nurse will do a full assessment of your child’s illness. They will check their vital signs and discuss with you a plan to manage their symptoms at home. The nurse will provide you with written information on how to manage your child’s illness at home.

If you or your child’s nurse feel that your child’s condition is not improving, we will discuss this with our hospital team or your child’s GP to agree  the best way to manage their care.
