If your child has been invited for a face-to-face appointment or procedure, it’s important you still come (even during the national lockdown – medical appointments are still allowed).
To help keep everyone safe, only one parent or carer can attend. No other family or friends can visit.

Your child's appointment with the special needs dietitians in Lambeth and Southwark

How do I get an appointment?

Children are referred to our services by their GP, health visitor, school nurse, speech and language therapist or occupational therapist.

Cancelling or changing your appointment

Please call us on the numbers at the bottom of this page to change or cancel and appointment.

Before your appointment

If your child is less than 5 years old, please bring their red book (personal child health record).

We'll let you know in your appointment letter if you need to bring anything else with you.

What to expect at your appointment

You or your child will see our dietitian. Appointment times vary, but first appointments generally last 45-60 minutes.

As we are a teaching hospital, students and visitors may be observing the appointment. We will always ask your permission for them to observe your appointment.

After your appointment

The dietitian will discuss when you will be contacted about your child's follow up appointment with you.
