If your child has been invited for a face-to-face appointment or procedure, it’s important you still come unless you hear otherwise.
To help keep everyone safe, only one parent or carer can attend. No other family or friends can visit.

We are sorry that we are not able to accept new referrals for counselling at this time. If you need help, please discuss which services are available to you locally with your GP or health visitor. Our chaplaincy team are also available to support parents and carers of all faiths and beliefs or none, who would like someone to talk to. They can be contacted on 0207 188 5588 or email chaplains@gstt.nhs.uk.

Overview

Our counsellor service provides a confidential service for parents and carers of children being treated at Evelina London. We also offer bereavement counselling for those whose children have died.

We are a team of qualified counsellors either registered with the British Psychological Society or accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Counselling offers a safe space in which to think through experiences and help make sense of difficult feelings. We provide an opportunity for parents and carers to express themselves.

Our role is not to judge or advise, but to listen, support and think through the possible consequences and challenges that may lie ahead.
