Who can refer
We accept referrals from:
- the patient and their parents or carers
- healthcare professionals
- national and local screening programmes
GP referrals
All NHS GP referrals must be submitted using the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS). Referrals sent by email or post from NHS GPs will not be processed.
Self-referrals and referrals from healthcare professionals

Counselling referrals
We offer counselling services to pregnant women and biological fathers who are carriers of sickle cell, thalssaemia and other unusual haemoglobin types.
We accept referrals from maternity units in:
- Lambeth
- Southwark
- Lewisham
- Greenwich
