Repeat prescriptions

Some children need to take medicines for a long time.

If, during your child’s hospital stay or appointment, we prescribe a medicine that can only be supplied by Evelina London Children’s Hospital, we will let you know. The medicine will continue to be prescribed by the Evelina London team and ongoing supply arranged for you.

Our hospital pharmacy does not provide repeat prescriptions for medicines that your GP can routinely prescribe.

We will tell your GP about any new medicines we prescribe for your child. When your child needs a repeat prescription please contact your GP, who will issue the prescription. You can then collect the medicine from your local community pharmacy.

If you have any difficulties getting repeat prescriptions from your GP, please contact us and we will support you.
