How do I get an appointment?
Your child will be referred to our services by their GP or a consultant at their local hospital. More information can be found on our referrals page.
Changing or cancelling your appointment
To change or cancel your appointment, please contact us on 020 7188 4000 or email paediatricappointment@gstt.nhs.uk.
Please tell us as soon as possible so that we can offer your appointment to another patient.
Before your appointment
We will tell you in advance if you need to do anything to prepare for your child's appointment. If you have any previous documentation about the condition your child has been referred for, please bring it with you to your appointment.
Please write down any questions you may have in advance so that you can discuss them with us at your appointment.
During your appointment
We run a number of clinics for different conditions. Each runs in a different way to suit the needs of our patients. A full list of the clinics that we run can be found on the urology clinics page.
We are a teaching hospital, so students and visitors may be observing the team. We will always ask your permission for them to observe your appointment.
After your appointment
We will write to the referring doctor to explain what happened at the appointment and what will happen next. We'll also send a copy of this letter to you, your GP and any other healthcare professionals involved in your child’s care.
This letter will have a contact number if you have any further questions.
If your child needs a follow-up appointment, we will be in touch to arrange this.
