This clinic is run by a team which may include a speech and language therapist, a psychologist, an occupational therapist, a dietitian, and a consultant doctor, depending on the needs of the patients.
Your first appointment will last around 90 minutes. Follow-up appointments last approximately 45 minutes.
At the appointment, the team will ask questions about your child’s past and current feeding. They may watch your child eat and drink. This will help to build up a picture of your child’s skills and difficulties. You'll have a chance to discuss any concerns.
As we're a teaching hospital, students and visitors may be observing the team. We'll always ask your permission for them to observe your appointment.
