Strike action by junior doctors will take place at our hospital and community sites from 7am on Tuesday 11 April to 7am on Saturday 15 April. We'll contact you if you or your child’s appointment is affected. We apologise for any inconvenience.

A number of transport strikes are due to take place this March. If you or your child has an appointment at one of our hospitals or community centres, please plan ahead and do all you can to attend. If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact your clinical team.

Neurosciences

Helping children with conditions affecting the brain and nervous system

Our neurosciences department provides a range of medical services to children with conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord and nervous system, as inpatients and outpatients.

Neurosciences is a broad area covering lots of different conditions. A list of what we cover is in the specialties box on this page.

We work closely with colleagues across Evelina London, including intensive care and neonatal services.

Where we are

Many of our neurosciences services are based at the Newcomen Centre at St Thomas' Hospital (next to Evelina London).

Join our neuroscience support group for parents and carers

We are offering one hour group sessions for parents or carers of children who are under the care of our neurosciences department. The sessions are run by two members of the team who will encourage you to reflect on current challenges to supporting your child at home. The sessions are a space for you to share your experiences, hear from others and consider how to support your own well-being during these exceptional times.
