Parents and carers may be concerned by the news reports about Group A streptococcus (GAS). Find out more about what to look out for.

A number of transport strikes are due to take place this December. If you or your child has an appointment at one of our hospitals or community centres, please plan ahead and do all you can to attend. If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact your clinical team.

Nurses' strike action will take place on 15 and 20 December. Our emergency and time critical services will be open. We'll let you know if your appointment is affected.

Allergy referrals

We are a specialist allergy service providing a holistic diagnostic and therapeutic service for children with allergic disease from around the UK.

Our active research programme ensures our patients have early access to the latest therapeutics.

Our consultants are always happy to discuss clinical problems and possible referrals so please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Who can refer

GPs and other secondary services.

How to refer

Due to high demand for our clinics, the Trust has agreed with CCGs to restrict e-RS access to GP practices in the following boroughs:

  • Greenwich
  • Bromley
  • Bexley
  • Lewisham
  • Croydon
  • Southwark
  • Lambeth
  • Westminster
  • Hackney
  • Wandsworth

This is to ensure we can provide faster, safer access to local patients.

All NHS GP referrals must be submitted using the NHS e-Referral service (formerly Choose and Book).

Referrals sent to the nhs.net mailbox or by post from GPs will not be processed.

Tertiary referrals can be emailed to gst-tr.allergypaediatrics@nhs.net

This service is suitable for patients up to 16 years of age and is for urgent and routine referrals only.
