Parents and guardians can ask to use MyChart to manage a child or young person's health record. This is called having 'proxy access'.
You'll have your own MyChart login but see your child's health information in the app. This allows you to help them by:
- seeing appointment details and cancelling outpatient appointments if necessary
- completing information before appointments, including updating their health record or flagging concerns
- completing questionnaires to help them manage a condition.
- replying to messages from clinical and administrative staff, if the staff member has selected this as an option
- receiving test results and communications from healthcare professionals.

Information visible to you
If you have proxy access to your child's account, you'll be able to see certain information. This includes:
- parts of your child's health record
- communications from their healthcare team
- most test results
- appointments
However, there are parts of their record that are protected and will not be visible.
