NHS South East London is making some changes to how children’s hearing services are provided. Following a review, they have decided that one provider should be responsible for hearing care for all children and young people in south east London.
From 1 May 2026, children who are with Bromley Healthcare for their hearing service will move to Evelina London. Also any children with a GP in Bromley will be referred to our service if they need a hearing test.
Our children’s hearing (paediatric audiology) service, which is part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, is a UKAS accredited medical diagnostic paediatric audiology service. We already provide hearing care to many children in South East London.

Wherever possible, we will provide your child’s care at the location you choose. However, this may not always be possible as the location will also depend on your child’s needs, and what appointments are available.

Your child’s health data
To support your child’s hearing care, Bromley Healthcare will securely transfer relevant information about your child to Guy’s and St Thomas’, before the service changes on 1 May 2026.
They will only share information necessary to support the safe and effective delivery of audiology services. They will carry out this transfer securely and in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
Once they have transferred your child’s information, Guy’s and St Thomas’ will store and use it for the purposes of planning, delivering and reviewing paediatric audiology care.
Appointments with us
If your child is under Bromley’s care now, you do not need to do anything. We will be in touch when your child’s next appointment is due.
If your child has recently been referred by a Bromley GP to a hearing service, their appointments will be with Evelina London. We will contact you with appointment information.
