Strike action is taking place in June. We'll contact you directly if you or your child's appointment is affected.

There are rail strikes planned for May and June, which may affect your journey to our hospital and community centres. If you or your child has an appointment booked, please do all you can to attend. Plan your journey ahead and allow extra time.

Counselling and social work services

Counselling

Our children's counsellor service provides a confidential service for parents and carers of children being treated at Evelina London. We also offer bereavement counselling for those whose children have died.

We are a team of qualified counsellors either registered with the British Psychological Society or accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Find out more on the counselling service pages.

Social work service

Our social work service offers advice and support to you and your family. This includes:

  • assessing the impact of your child's illness on him/her and your family
  • providing emotional and psychological support
  • helping you plan for when your child leaves hospital.

Our social workers aim is to make things less stressful for your child and the whole family.

Support groups

We offer a range of different support groups for our patients. Find out more in the Get involved section.
